Dana Point

Dana Point is approximately half way between Los Angeles and San Diego and is characterized by nearly seven miles of prominent coastal bluffs and rolling hills along the Pacific Ocean. The most noteworthy of these bluffs is the promontory known as the Headlands which overlooks Dana Point Harbor providing slips and mooring for over 2,500 boats. Within the City of Dana Point, Monarch Beach is a newer community on the northern border of town and includes the Monarch Beach Resort & Links Golf Course as well as the Ritz Carlton. Monarch Beach also has the most exclusive home developments including the Ritz Cove and the Strand at the Headlands. The Strand consists of oceanfront homes (South Strand) with prices from $15M to mid $20M. The upper (North Strand) ocean close homes, are priced between $8M and $15M. The south side of town is the area of Capo Beach. Homes range from beach cottages to multimillion-dollar homes, those situated atop a cliff overlooking Coast Highway and the Capistrano Beach park below. There are more modest homes in Capistrano Beach, namely older homes, a little farther from the shore.
